Re trailer: looks like big budget H.R. Pufnstuf. I hope the movie captures the magic of the book but fear it won't.

'Dude and I have been excited about this for a long time. It's been in post-production for what, two years? And the trailer really hit that part of me that remembers the wonder and joy of being a kid.

Hooray! I am so excited for this. Even if it is only half as awesome as the book, it will still be awesome, because the book is approximately twice as awesome as most other things.

I love Sendak, don't have strong feelings about Jonze one way or the other. Let's say I'm cautiously optimistic.
