My kitty chewed through a bag a marshmallows left on the counter, but he ate no marshmallow--just pranced around the house with the remains of the bag, which he attempted to drown in the water bowl.

I wouldn't think cats like sweet sticky things!

Cats are weird! Once my grandparents left a lemon meringue pie on their counter and came back out to find the cat had eaten some of it. They still talk about it with a tinge of disbelief.

"Ollie ate the pie! There was a hole right through to the lemon!"

Very cool. We had a cat that nibbled the entire edge off one of mum's boozy fruit cakes. The current moggy goes nuts for icecream to the point where I have to lock myself in another room to avoid scooping paws in my bowl. I read somewhere that cats don't have sweet receptors on their tongues, but that has to be a LIE!!

I had a cat that would go crazy over apples and yoghurt. He was a guts, though.
