I saw girl scout cookie ice cream recently. I think it was Edys. I really want some but my frugal roommate said "isn't a $6 gallon of ice cream a bit much on unemployment?"

I love GS cookies. and I have no cookie access now, being in a neighborhood where only the most neglectful parent would send their child door to door (go ask the nice drunks at the bar if they want some thin mints, honey!") and am out of work.

The peanut butter ones were tasty.

Yeah, it's Edy's. Unfortunately the local Kroger only carries Thin Mint -- I really want the choco-peanut butter one.

God knows where Girl Scout Cookies® are made or what’s in them

Wait, is this a pro-gs-cookie thread or an anti-gs-cookie thread?

I always loved both the pb and mint ones, but they got too expensive for my poor blood quite a few years ago.

Does it make a difference?

Caramel deLites are my favorite. That is one good cookie.

That depends on your perspective. In my school clique, the geeks, the Girl Scouts were the 'Future Stepford Wives of America', so tagged by a girl who was not a Scout.

I made Chocolate Girl Scout Thin Mint ice cream this year, it turned out so great.

One of these years I'll finally get around to making my own thin mint cookies.

Why of course we know who makes GS cookies. A subsidiary of Keebler makes some and ABC Bakers make the rest. So, elves and the Jackson 5. Wait, that only sounds marginally more attractive than two giant processed food conglomerates.

See, instead of 1.5 inches across, they're supposed to be 15 inches across.

I did thin mint ice cream last year (have a box in my chest freezer for the summer).

I did a first prototype of cheesecake with Lemonades crust, but wasn't happy with it. This weekend I may try round two.
