My heart was just moved by (of all things) a game show. [More:]

Flipping channels, waiting to start the pizza dough, I ended up getting sucked in by the English version of Deal Or No Deal. A male contestant was talking about the date that he got married to the love of his life, and when his spouse joined him on stage, I was pleasantly surprised to see that he was a boy too!

They embraced sweetly, and I thanked god that at least somewhere, it's no big deal to simply recognise a same-sex marriage.

I didn't write that very elegantly, but hey, I'm tired, and you get the point.
*hugs*

That's awesome.

Aw, that's sweet!

We're getting there. If frat boys can protest homophobia by dancing to Diana Ross, then slowly but surely we're getting there!

Yay! I would get a little choked up about that, too.

I think the fact that an open, proud lesbian can do promos for Covergirl also indicates that we're moving in the right direction.

That is so sweet.

I thought you were going to say you were moved to tears of joy when a contestant won a Brand New Car! I'm one of those people that gets really excited for winners on game shows.

Is Queen Latifah out? I thought she was still dodging that question.

She is out, but Ellen Degeneres is doing Cover Girl commercials now too.
