I have a new song! It's writing itself. Whatver module in my brain writes songs does so without much intervention from me.→[More:]

It's so intensely there that I want to be singing it in various environments I shouldn't be!

What's more, it colours everything else that's going on. So, the raucous and fun protest I was at today has it as a soundtrack.

I dreamed a beautiful instrumental piece one time. I even remembered it for a bit after waking but I could do nothing with it, having no musical skills, so it evaporated.

Ugh, I do that even in the waking world. I'll be walking or driving and come up with a wonderful new melody - I'll sing it and sing it, maybe even get home to play it on the geetar, and then blissfully put it down thinking 'great! I'll definitely remember that one!'

Poof.

I know I should record these things when they happen, but they usually seem too small and insubstantial to record - they're tiny fragments. But they don't get to grow because I lose them...
