Waaaaah! I finished all the Half-Life games and I want more! Hope me game-playing bunnies! What will help abate my desire to live again as Gordon Freeman?
I feel your pain... for now, there is only the Void.

Are you playing on PC or console? If PC, then there are many interesting single-player mods such as They Hunger or Mistake of Pythagoras. They aren´t quite the same as more ¨real¨ Half-Life, but they can be a lot of fun in their own way.

PC -- thanks, concrete, I'll look those up.

I have never ever played a HL game in my life ever. I feel I should do this, but I'm going to assume there's no OS X friendly way to do so.

Better you don't, 'Tool - you'll end up a damn junkie like the rest of us. Save yourself, man.

Once you've been in City 17, there ain't no goin' back.

middleclasstool, I played on a mac via vmware. Had to play on pretty low graphics settings, but it did work. C'mon, try it. You'll like it. It'll make you feel real good. Yeah, you want to go to City 17, don't you? Come to City 17 . . .

(Oh, and Half Life Two Episode 2 on mac vmware needed some command line adjustment. Here's what worked for me: C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 420 -dxlevel 81. Of course, how long it takes you get to HL E2 is a matter of . . . well, I'm not at liberty to say.)

I played through this. Pretty quality mod.

You've played through Portal, right?

You've played through Portal, right?

Doing it now, but I'm very reluctant to make too much progress. I mean, this has to last me until Episode 3!

L4D is kind of giving me a fix, but not nearly enough.

I'm telling you man, that mod is good! Try it!

And yeah portal will hold you over for like. Maybe an hour. It's a short game. :P

You need a teenager in your house sharing your steam account and over writing all your games to extend your game play experience.
You get all the way to the way to final battle WITH YOUR GARDEN GNOME and someone writes over your game to a point near the beginning of the game.

*gnashes teeth*

Left 4 Dead is the most fun I've had playing online games since I'm not telling you when. But damn it's fun. Like being Gordon (or Alyx) with friends who are much smarter than the stupid sidekicks you get in Ep 2 (shouting "reload!" or "heal!" as they block doorways and otherwise get in your way).

Have you played Blue Shift & Opposing Force? Call Of Duty 2 & 4 are good fun on the PC, too

I know the feeling. They should keep those Valve people chained to their desks 24/7.

Did you catch this surprisingly impressive little piece by the Purchase Brothers? Whets the appetite and was reportedly put together for about 500 bucks, in which case, wow.
