So if anyone would like to get on their high horse about unimaginable sums of money wasted, please feel free ride that horse straight to George W. Bush's door in Texas.
Actually I'm kind of surprised at how small that picture makes the money look. It's not that big. I am not the most numerate person you ever met, so I was picturing, like, football stadia full of moolah. Instead it kind of looks like the last day of summer camp when everyone stacks up their trunks and duffel bags.
Interesting to consider 'biggest denominations'. In the US it's $100; here in the UK it's £50 (and I think I've seen four £50 notes in my life).
In the euro zone, though, there's a 500 euro note (worth over £400 at current rates), meaning that a trillion euros would take up one-fifth of the space occupied by a trillion dollars.
I hope I never own a 500 euro note - I'd be in constant fear of losing it.
For someone whose just seen a Dollar Bill, I used to keep it as a souvenir in my wallet, to see a Trillion Dollars stacked like that--it looks huge. I hope they make good use of it--and it goes to the people who deserve it.
