Songs from films which made you feel glad to be alive. [More:]Gladiator: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVCXpHOQ3uU" No doubt it's a sad ending, but you kind of feel happy that Russel Crowe gets to go home, wherever that is, and meet his wife and son again.

Also, Braveheart: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg3xUA2wvrU" For Mel's portrayal of a Scotsman who'll do whatever it takes to see to it that his people get the freedom and equality that they deserve. Come Hell or High Water.
This.

I admit it: this. It gets me pumped. This, too. I like it anthemic, I guess.

Haha! I hate to say this Jon, but one look at the Rocky video, and the first thing to pop out of my Dad's mouth was--Tarzan--I'm afraid he's still not accustomed to Hollywood movies.

Singing in the Rain... oooh, I forgot that one, great song, and terrific dancing I should say.

Face of Love from Dead Man Walking. I cannot hear this song without being grateful for whomever decided that Nusret Fateh Ali Khan and Eddie Vedder would make beautiful music together. My heart, it uplifts.

This isn't a song from a movie, but it should be and it always makes me feel glad to be alive, to be human, to be anywhere.

The half-minute mix of "Rocketship" used in Futurama movie Bender's Game. For that matter, the Futurama theme song, which always gets me up and dancing.

I'm with you msali. Also everything from the Dead Man Walking soundtrack. Other soundtrack albums I love and own: Dedication; True Romance; Garden State; Six Feet Under; the one about the girl-and-boy musicians-buskers in England, I forget the name.

Good Mornin' from Singin' in the Rain and also Moses Supposes from same. I guess this is just one of those musicals. I just love the damn thing. Part of it is that my Dad used to play the LP all the time when I was little and part of it is just that it's such a fun movie to watch.

Crashing into the Ocean from Space--way cool dude! And so is Rocketship, although, I must say I've never seen Futurama, but if it's anything like the song--I'll have to keep my eyes out for it.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan happens to be quite big over here msali, even though my dad doesn't listen to him--he listen's, or listened to stuff from way back, from the 40's, the 1940's that is, so Nursat, however good or bad he may be, doesn't cut it for my dad I'm sorry to say. But he does for a lot of Indians, and that's good since it bridges the divide between Indians and Pakistanis--from where he originally is.

I'll have to watch the Moses Supposes one again, but I've listened to almost everything on the "Singing in the Rain" movie, so I bet it's good fluffy.
