I mean, I think we all know what diarrhea is. I hate to see the illustration for gonorrhea.

I'm guessing some sort of automated illustration database full of tagged images that gets matched to terms in the article. Unfortunately, the db happened to include this image which matched perfectly with terms found in the story. No living being actually chose the image.
