ChangeFilter: Tonight I Made Good On A Promise I Made To Myself! →[More:]

Tonight I attended a Be The Change meeting here in town where some folks left over from the campaign banded together and formed a Be The Change Seacoast group.

They had reps from the Portsmouth Democrats, a United Way coordinator, and a person representing Health Care Reform come and talk about volunteer opportunities and ways to be more active in our community.

So now my name is OUT THERE and I can start really networking and doing things that matter.

The reason I'm posting this is that a month ago I made a promise with significant witnesses present that I would stand up for what I believe in and take action.

I promised myself I'd do at least three volunteer activities this year, and now I'm known personally to the people who are close to the big issues.

I'm really stoked about all of this, and have exposure now to some great mentors and teachers.

Okay, I'll shut up now.

The post was made by LT. Good call to those who spotted the Victorian midsentence capitals.

This is kind of exasperating, how often we do this. We each have profiles on the other's computer, but sometimes you just leap in and start typing without really registering whose profile is up there. I've never used Opera...I like my FireFox! And I wish I would just get better at noticing so I don't have to change over my browser.

Seems there should be better fixes for this. Your profile should go with your passwords and logins, somehow.

Not that I want to deprive MeCha of its newest fun parlor game, "Whose Post Is This Anyway?"

Anyway, LT's meeting sounds like it was cool. I was off getting my hair cut.
