Holy crap today's my last day.
I have an interview for another department here monday. They had 30 "critical" positions open that they were saving for post-layoffs, to give us a chance at them.

it would be a subsantial raise.

if they hire me I will only get severance pay up until the day I start the new position, since it's the same company.

thanks all. I can't believe I got something so quick, but I'm sure work would rather find a new place for me here than pay me to sit on my butt for six weeks.

No, no.. I didn't get the job. I just didn't expect to even get an interview so fast. Before I'd even left.
