*snivel* So I just spent 1/4 of my monthly income on medical bills to find out...

... that I have a fungal infection on my eardrums. This is why for the last few weeks everything sounds like I am wearing earmuffs and my head feels like a puffball mushroom of pain.

Definitely one of the odder maladies I have had.

whoa! Chalk that up on "things I didn't know could even happen" list. Well...glad they know what it is and you're on the way to curing.

Um - does this have anything to do with earbuds and trips to the gym? Should we consider ourselves warned -- or am I overgeneralizing from feet to ears?

They think it's because my house is an ancient black mold factory and I use a CPAP. It huuuurts.

Because it is. Damn. Mom always told me I could grow mushrooms behind my ears. In my ears was not something it occurred to me to worry about.
