I SEND OUT BROADCAST EMAILS FOR WORK LETTING STATE EMPLOYEES KNOW ABOUT MAINTENANCE STUFF WITH THEIR BUILDINGS AND DO YOU THINK I EVER GET A YHAK YOU? NO. IT'S JUST BITCH BITCH BITCH. AND THEN COWORKERS STRT REPLYING-ALL WITH "VALETTE WAS SUPPOSED TO SEND THIS OUT YESTERDAY ANDI DON'KNOW WHY SHE DIDN'T SHE MUST BE INCOMPETENT". AND EVEN WHEN I PROVE THM WRONG BECAUSE OH LOOK I KNOW HOW TO DO MY JOB, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. GAHHHHHHHH!!!

SHOUTING ON AN IPHONE ISN'T AS THERAPUTIC AS POUNDING ON A KEYBOARD.

I'M SHOUTY TOO. I REALLY REALLY REALLY HATE HAVING TO MAKE CALLS FOR WORK. IT WOULD BE OK IF THIS WAS THE JOB I WAS HIRED TO DO, BUT IT ISN'T. I'M MEANT TO DO OTHER THINGS. AND IT'S REALLY WEARYING TALKING TO PEOPLE ALL DAY. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S ONLY JUST ME CHECKING AND CONFIRMING DETAILS, SO I CAN'T EVEN CONNECT WITH PEOPLE AND HAVE PROPER CHATS.

I HATE IT SO MUCH I STARTED LOOKING FOR NEW JOBS THE OTHER DAY, EVEN THOUGH I LOVE THIS ONE 85% OF THE TIME, AND I FOUND A REALLY GREAT LOOKING ONE I THINK I HAVE GOOD QUALIFICATIONS FOR.

PROBLEM BEING IT'S IN SYDNEY, AND I DON'T KNOW HOW I WOULD FEEL ABOUT MOVING. ALSO THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS TODAY AND I DON'T HAVE TIME TO GET MY RESUME IN ORDER AND SUBMIT IT BY THE C.O.B. TODAY.

BUT I THINK I SHOULD GO FOR IT ANYWAY.

grouse: Not even a "Thanks for the heads-up about the bear-out-front/noise-in-the-garage/broken-elevator"? I don't expect to be thanked, but it would be nicer if the string of bitchy emails were broken by one or two thank-yous.

I just didn't get time. I need to rewrite my resume, and give it a major overhaul. I was out on thursday night all night, and again on friday night. Thought about putting it in today, but with Saturday fully booked, it left yesterday to get it done. And yesterday I was a little distracted with constantly refreshing the newspaper websites for updates about the fires.

I think when it came down to it I chickened out too. Sydney is a long way away, and I do love my job here, have just had a really shit week, and have a couple more shitty days coming up. But I'm going to do the best that I can, and will start looking at the end of this year for something new. I think I'm just not quite ready to say goodbye to everything here yet.
