CAST OFF!! HOO-RAY!! →[More:] Today I went to the doctor and he pronounced my foot fracture healed. There's still an opacity that he wants to investigate with an MRI, so he want's me to not go back to work yet, for another 10 days or so. But I can walk around! and leave the house! and not have to drag that fiberglas and cotton monstrosity around like a ball and chain! and take an actual shower!! (I just did. Aah! Refreshing!)

(also, skin that's been underneath a cast for over a month is not pleasant to look at. Just in case you were wondering.)

Just take it easy. I can tell you from painful experience that the ankle is pretty quick to sprain until you get it strong again.

So, did it feel weird at first? Like your one foot was walking on pillows? That's what it was like for me when I got my cast off. Plus, shriveled.

Seconding t-8's suggestion, take it easy. But congrats, I had a foot cast for 2 months and it does suck.
