It doesn't calm me. My internet-honed instincts lead me to expect a sudden loud bang, a Wesley Willis song in the "Suck A Cheetah's Dick" oeuvre or goatse filling the screen the second I relax.

Whoa, thanks for posting that. I want to incorporate some ambient noise into my RPM stuff. (I haven't figured out more than that yet, though.) These are kind of nifty.

I also plan to mine the Free Sound Project and the Internet Archive. (Here's a good rain one.)

I know what you mean though... I still fear those scary surprise animated gifs now and then when I'm examining a picture online too closely.

I just don't find anything remotely relaxing about the sound of endlessly scribbling pencils echoing in my head. I have nightmare flashbacks to writing 1,000-word English finals. No thank you!

The whales made Mingo (cat) run to my desk and Kaylee (dog) run to the doorway (away from my desk). The birdsong made Mingo look out the window. I love playing with their fuzzy little heads.

Music videos of our current favorite artists live. || This is a cynical thread.
