1. I am not sick, and grateful about it. (Although, I think the medication I'm on is making me a little shaky and headachey.)

2. There is something that smells bad in the fridge, but I am less than inspired to clean it out. This weighs heavily on my mind.

3. Tonight I will, I MUST, write some thank you cards. I got stamps today, so there's no reason I can't.

4. I can't wait for Friday night, because it's going to be roast root veg and roast chicken night. Mmmmmm.

1. I came into work this morning (only 15 minutes late for my normal shift) only to see that my boss had replied to my email that I had sent from my phone while outside scraping ice off the goddamn car, telling me that we weren't opening until noon anyways.

2. I got all the shelving done, 2 main pull lists, 1 secondary pull list, and an article request--while no one was here, so I feel pretty productive for the day.

3. I am counting down the days to my awesome VA beach vacation I have planned in May and I hope that by the time I go on said vacation that I will have a decision in hand from UMD and the adorable apartment complex.

4. I really have nothing to do at work today, so I guess I'm going to spend a fair amount of time reading the local papers and pretending to do research.

1. Bailey had a cancer checkup at the vet today (she had a tumour removed last May) and all is well. She also had her bum shaved and an antibiotic injection because, well, she doesn't clean herself properly and she had a slight infection. She 'swore' at the vet, and has sulked all day.

2. I'm looking forward to Saturday - Saul Steinberg at the Dulwich Picture Gallery during the day, and a meetup at night. A meetup with Specklet!

3. Project Runway (Ep. 3) is on tonight!

4. Home-made soup and organic pork chop for dinner.

1. Work ended early and started late today because the town closes whenever that white stuff called ice hits the streets

3. Tonight is church and I forgot my knitting bag. Fortunately I keep a backup project at the church

4. 13 bean soup is keeping warm in the cooker for when we get home. Good stuff.

1. Job! Yay! I start at a new job in two weeks doing the same software test stuff that I've been doing for 11 years now.

2. Trying to find a used car for my son, not having too much luck which means that he needs to borrow my car to get to class. He had to drive home through and ice storm last night and was really shaken up when he got home.

3. Feeling guilty about how little I got done on the house during my un-employment months.

4. Went into the little corner coffee house and my minister and his partner are sitting there and while I'm sitting there another friend come in. I love living in the city, there's seems to be a maximum of 2 degrees of separation.

1. Going to an afternoon wedding this weekend. Trying to convince myself that the really pretty raspberry wool dress with velvet pumps which is totally appropriate is just as pretty as the highly vavoom black cocktail dress which is totally inappropriate.
2. Inexplicably tired.
3. Ate too much lunch. Which would explain #2, except I was inexplicably tired before lunch.
4. It's cold; I wish I were home in the easy chair, with a toddy, reading Simone Weil.

crush-onastick: raspberry is much more interesting and sounds nicer to me! Everyone thinks they look good in black, but I think people usually look better in colors that say more about their personality. It's hard to find a really interesting black dress. as soon as I see one, I just think "oh black dress" and move on. /says the girl with 5 black dresses

1. Had a terrible panicky busy day at work. Every time I thought I'd solved one thing, 3 more came up which I'd have to do to get the first one done.

2. Looking forward to seeing my best friend and eating dinner with her tonight despite the rain and slush.

3. Starting to worry about my first official business trip which is to Long Beach next week. I should really prepare for it but I am so busy! I guess I can print things out for the plane ride.

4. Need to get anxiety meds for the plane and think about whether I should bring my computer. (Probably but I don't want to lug it and I love being a light packer)

1. Helping Daughter the Second with her QuickBooks. Pretty bad when I'm the best accountant in the family.
2. Thinking that my sister was right about a family tendency towards dopamine deficiency.
3. The Spousal Unit snored last night, again, keeping me up way past my (already missed by hours) bedtime.
4. Dealing with #2 seems to make dealing with #3 easier.

1. Worked a long day today and am tired.
2. Have been thinking a lot about safety, crime, neighborhoods and community.
3. Am going to visit my grandma tomorrow. I'm going to print her out a photo of us I took last summer.
4. Lot of cleaning and laundry to do before I go.
