Do you like superbowl ads? I know. I'm ad-damaged but if you watch the game for the ads like me, you might want to follow twitter tag #superads09, & #sb43ads and sneak peak the ads as they arrive here.
There's a few ways, with this thing called monitter you can build widgets, so I follow the above mentioned superbowl tags here - in tweetdeck you can just make it your regular search and it'll have it's own area. Most twitter-feed-reading devices have something like that.
Twidroid is the oly one I've used, so I don't really have anything else to compare it to, but yes, I like it a lot. It's specifically for phones that use Android, though (I mainly use Twitter on my phone and not the web).
Hmm. I probably need to get updated on the phone-department soon. ;9 I used twitter for txt a year and a half or so ago, and got a little annoyed with it - I wanted to follow EVERYONE but then I only wanted text to my phone if it was.. Say dodgygeezer quipping something funny about being at the zoo. ;) And then people I followed started talking about web-links, and lots of it and I got a little annoyed because I didn't want to remove them from phone, but I did want to remove things like that from going to the phone. So I quit with the text. Suddenly they stopped sending texts to everyone in Europe/Oz and I was forced to check the web instead and my twitterhabit changed drastically - so much so that real friends defollowed me after a few weeks of me yapping constantly. (oops, sorry.) I'm trying to pace myself a little now. hehehe.
You know the ad I can't forget? The one about Holiday Inn spending a billion or trillon dollars on renovations. Showed a woman's, uh, enhancements and what they cost. Turns out it's some high school reunion. She smiles at a guy, and he says "Steve?"
Then the text over: Imagine what kind of makeover Holiday Inn could do with [an even larger amount]

Oh yeah lysdexic, that ad is on my list of the top five worst superbowl commercials of all time. Her name is BOB JOHNSSON which cracks little juvenile me the hell up - to quote myself "I'm going to hell for this but I can't help I laugh at that name. Other suggestions might be Dick Weiner, John Thomas, Buster Hymen, Charlie Russell, Roger O'Henry, Rick Hard or lets not be coy Mr. 100% all-beef thermometer." teehee. Oh and the really really bad ad "Just for feet" is top on that list. Nothing beats that one. Ever.
I like this ad, John Cleese for Magnavox 1992. One of those forgotten funny ones. Must make another post. Seems most press writing about superbowl ads remembers only back to 1999 basically. The ones before that had some gems too! :)
