Ask Metachat: Stoved Finger & Silly Office Thing →[More:]

I slammed my finger in the door tonight and thought OMG I just stoved my finger! This is a term from elementary school with little google back up. What were we trying to say? (70's).

What would be a good "team name" for my dept. at work for a Super Bowl party/competition? We will have some blue and gold (yellow) band outfits and a paper football kicking squad. Fan Band? Can you do better? I bet you can.

My ER nurse mother and pharmacist father always referred to it as a "stowed" finger.
