Newborns FREAK ME OUT. I don't think I've ever seen a cute looking one (except for anyone who has ever posted a pic of your newborn here...I swear, yours was the exception).

I've always thought newborns in these "within 24 hours of birth" hospital pics looked a lot like monkeys. I figured it was a mother's love thing, that I wouldn't feel that way about my own baby but when we got the photos back, damn if he didn't look exactly like a capuchin.

c-section babies look a little less...squished. Not that that is a good reason to have one, of course.

Everyone said my little guy was cute as hell and didn't look like a newborn. They probably say that to everyone, I bet.

These are fabulous. They all look like angry dwarves. My daughter looked like Quinn the Eskimo on a bad day or possibly a small gorilla. My son was bright red and I do mean bright red; he matched the miniature union suit I'd brought to take him home from the hospital in. Newborns all have so much character and individuality; it's awesome.
