I adore these guys in photos but sadly, in real life, they smell awful. Like 50-cats-in-a-hoarder's-trailer awful. Our local zoo has a pair and they can be detected from a good 5 exhibits away.
Maybe the smell can be kept down by shrink-wrapping them. Of course you'd have to put them on a string to drag them around, what with the legs being all vacuumed sealed and all. But that could be fun too. Maybe attach the string to a stick and swing the little fox around a bit.
They apparently have a scent gland at the tip of their tail which is stinky enough to be deployed as a defense. Or at least that's what I gather from skimming this article before returning to the irresistible photo at the top.
