Huh. Kitten Kong actually has its own Wikipedia article.
And judging from the still photo within, the toppling of the (then pretty new) BT Tower is pretty iconic. Was there an undercurrent there that it was a hated building? The way 30 St. Mary Axe is disliked today?
The very first thing my bloke and I did, our first morning in London, was to get up and photograph the Kitten Kong Tower (which is what the BT Tower will always be to us).
I remember where I was, how old I was, and what episode it was, the very first time I saw the Goodies. (My friend Katie Harris' house; nearly 6; the one where they get trapped inside the Tyrannosaurus Rex) And yeah... as a kid I never realised how risque it all was either. And the ABC used to cut a crapload of dialogue which was even more risque!
