Audio Question By stereo receiver (the box that has the radio and audio controls) may be belly up.[More:] (At least it only plays one channel, and I have pretty much isolated it to this component.)

What should I replace it with? $200 is as much as I really want to spend. (I could use some new speakers also).

Recently I bought new turntable, cassette and CD player components. Ended up not being too happy with them. I think I bought too cheap and paid the price for it. Also I bought thru amazon which means I'd have to ship them back for returns. I don't know. I kind of wish I'd bought locally, but the local big box stores don't have that great a selection compared to the stereo stores of the past. No advice here, other than this bit of grumpiness.

Are you sure it's the receiver, and not the speaker or one of the components or cables? I used to get a bad connection between the CD player and the receiver that dropped one of the channels.

murals, frescoes etc. || Was a replacement soup warranted?
