How do you unstick your gut? (thinking-wise, you guttersnipes) [More:] I'm usually able to trust my gut to make the right choice, but right now I'm stuck. Pros and Cons on both sides and no way to know how it will all turn out - do I sign onto a new project or no?
Flip a coin. If your first response is "two out of three?" Then you want the other choice.

Put a writing pad by your bed and write down your choice when you're in that slippery semiconscious period before fully waking.

I usually lie in bed (no lights on, tv on very quietly) and write out a list of pros and cons for said decision. I'll then lie in bed for about an hour and a half (setting an alarm somewhere) and usually by the time the alarm goes off, I'll have fallen asleep and will wake up with a decision.
If I'm still unsure, I do the coin flip/2 out of 3 thing.

I did the coin-flip trick and it worked! That's a good one, guys. Thanks! I'm still interested in hearing other ideas about this.

If it's even, I just pick one.

I was going to suggest psyllium husks.

Oh well . . .
