A sliver of good news. I know some people here were very fond of Mother's Cookies.
Although it won't be the same with the Kellogg corporate overlords in the kitchen, this is still nice to hear.

Why do you think Kellogg is any worse than Catterton Partners?

Archway went down, eh? I haven't been in a cookie aisle in years, not that anyone would know it to look at me. I loved Archway's molasses cookies when I was a kid. They were big and flat and would adhere to the roof of your mouth in a most mouthwatering way.

Awesome! Now all that stock I bought in tiny multicolored sprinkles (the round kind) doesn't look like such a horrible investment!

Actually, I am sure they will taste EXACTLY the same. Did they taste any different to you after the production moved a couple of years ago? Have you ever been to Battle Creek? They aren't bad folks, as corporate overlords go.

And before anyone feels the need to trot out all the sins of the Kellog company, please realize that I was joking.

Yay! Archway Molasses and Iced Oatmeal live another day!

I too was joking. I have no ill feelings toward Kelloggs. They make a mighty fine Pop-Tart

John Harvey is one of my favorite historical nuts.

The best thing about Mother's cookies growing up was the number of cookies in the big bag. We didn't have a lot of money (next to nothing, it seemed) so they were a good value. Even then, they didn't last long.
