stupid question about burning music cd in a mac Hi bunnies. Sorry if this is a dumb q - I've got tracks I need to burn to a cd and I am wondering if there is anything special I need to do to make sure it works on run of the mill cd players? The tracks are mp3s.
Nah just burn a playlist of them from iTunes. I've never had a problem.

Assuming your using iTunes, version 8.

You can check by going to the Menubar > iTunes > About iTunes.

1) Select a playlist of the songs you want to burn.

2) Click the Burn Disc button at the very bottom right of the iTunes window.

3) When the Burn setting window pops up, make sure you have "Audio CD" selected, not MP3 CD, or Data CD.

4) Then hit the Burn.

Cheers.

Note: Make sure you are burning to a blank CD-R, not a CD-RW. For many CD players, the difference matters little, but for others it does. So best to be safe.

Another Note: Some CD players will not play a burned CD-R, no matter what you do. To increase your chances of success, best to stick with CD-Rs with a capacity of 650. (More nerdy info here.)
