2. My new Macbook arrived at almost precisely the same time and will ship...tomorrow.
3. I have a very strong love/hate relationship with UPS's tracking system and its evident scorn for the calendar.

1. There is not enough time to do all of the things I want to do before Thursday. My closet needs to be cleaned. My laundry room is always full. I swear I have too many clothes. My washing machine is constantly going. I don't know why because I'm not one to hold onto clothes and I don't have a shopping problem.
2. It took me 12 minutes to walk a mile to my kids' school this afternoon. My walk was interrupted by a neighbor that wants me to keep an eye on her house because our area has had some robberies. Since I was interrupted I had to run a bit to make it on time.
3. Time flies. It really does. To all you young people, pretty soon you will be 36 and wishing you were 23 again, in a cute guy's car, with the radio turned up.
1. 50 years + 4 days. When will I get used to it?
2. 6 days until a funeral for a friend. There has to be a better way to have a reunion.
3. The beautiful pocket watch Daughter the First gave me.
1. finger sprain from tug of war with Otto yesterday. Ow.
2. bad timing, since I have 5 base cabinets to assemble and a major IKEA run Friday.

1. I'm sending in a deposit for an AMAZING apartment in College Park. I'm counting down the days until August (which is when they have openings and I don't feel like subletting from someone for next semester when I'll just have to move all my shit again anyways).
2. I'm quite nervous about having my performance appraisal on Monday and as such, it will probably screw up my whole weekend with moping. Bonus!: I get to housesit for my brother this weekend, which means no listening to my parents whiiiiiiiiiine and lots of playtime with the 4 kitties!
3. I've got one recommender in the bag, one that wants me to write the recommendation (Word doc has been open on my desktop ALL DAY), and one that still hasn't emailed me back about said request to write one.

1. I have two big projects at work due by the middle of the month that I just got assigned to in the last week...both in languages I do not know.
2. I feel like a total shit for not delivering (in a timely-or-any-other-fashion) on a promise (sorry, chewie).
3. I'll be 40 before Melismata...I've already started telling the elliptical I'm 40. I *think* I'm ok with it.
1) Time paradox--when you procrastinate, there's both too much time, and then not enough. This is my world. I need to tackle it, because it makes me feel really really bad.
2) Work-related holiday parties and secret santa crap is coming up quickly, and it's making me grumpy.
1. It's 77 minutes until my last class of the day. Once I start teaching, I'll have another 75 minutes before I can think about going home. Once I'm done it will take me at least 90 minutes to get home.So I won't be able to snuggle with my fat furry cat for another 242 minutes.
2. In 11 days I'll be hosting a holiday/birthday party in my apartment, which currently looks like the set to Twister and I haven't started christmas shopping or cooking yet.
1. Meditating recently that I need to find ways to slow down time and thwart my tendency to let it speed past just because I don't like a number of facts about my life right now, ones I'm afraid may never change.
2. Have now been actively looking (applying, interviewing) for a new job for seven months. I've become somewhat numb to the fact that I can't find anything better than what I have right now, but it still confuses me a little from a numbers standpoint... and makes me wonder if I'm doing something glaringly wrong, but just haven't realized it yet.
3. Fourteen hours from now I will have my little Ford Focus back, legal, and driveable for the first time in two, almost three months. This means I can go to the park again, and shopping for more than one bag of things at a time, and to the good bookstores.
1) Time is flying, I must be having fun. I'll be 40 in....

2) It's almost time to leave the office and go tend to dogs that are not mine, and are 50% ill-behaved and 100% stinky.
3) I can't believe how early it gets dark. I'm a-scared to walk to the mailbox when I get home so I stop the car by it, and all the neighbors think I'm a feeb, which I may be.
1. I turned 35 in October. I am now old enough to be the President of the United States. (Not that I would ever want that job!) That is scary.
2. I am not excited about the snow we are supposed to get tomorrow. At least I can park in the garage at work so my car won't get covered during the day.
3. There is no week this month where I will work 5 full days. (I had last Monday off, have next Monday off, have a half day on the 16th, and then our office closes from 1pm December 24 until 8am January 5. Oh yes, I am paid for that whole time, too. PTO days to burn + free week and a half of vacation = good things!)
1. Birthday in 15 days, three hours - given the cramps/pain in my neck and hands for the last two days, I feel old already (yeah yeah, I'm a whippersnapper.)
2. Back at work, and burning out faster than ever. I need to find a new job, and probably move out of the Midwest. At least I have mostly 3-4 day weeks for the rest of the month.
3. Sent the ex a message, trying the friends thing again. Best idea ever? Probably not.
