How do you delete a website from the URL drop-down box on top of your screen?
firefox, ie, safari?

Normally deleting all references to it from the history does it, but in one browser (can't remember which) I actually had to clear the history.

In firefox, you should be able to do shift-delete. It doesn't work in IE.

Registry hack for IE, with utilities that can do it for you.

Nor did I and it bugged me that URLs I mis-type end up starting me in the face forever, so I'm glad this was asked and answered.

In Firefox, hover over the offending URL (a typed wrong address that keeps coming up, and not a sick google search for "smurf nude tits sex penis porn") and hit delete key.
