Happy Thanksgiving Bunnies

If you're travelling today or tomorrow, have a safe journey. Enjoy the holiday, whether it's with friends and family or if you're just having a quiet time at home. Think of me getting up for work at 5.30 tomorrow morning and give thanks for your warm bed.
I have to work tomorrow too.

Thanks, ej. Wish you could come along with us to jon's parents for some gobble-gobble (Pass the gravey!). I'm off for four blessed days. The kids were getting on my very last nerve today. I sure do need this break. On a funny note, one of my boys cut his hair into a single landing strip down the center of his scalp. He looks like a four-foot Mr. T.

Thanks essexjan! I am hosting Thanksgiving for the first time ever tomorrow. A turkey's just a big chicken, right? Right?

Thanks, essexjan; I've been traveling for two weeks and just got to my folks' place last night. I'm gonna get up early and walk the dog tomorrow morning. Maybe not at 5:30 though.

Yo gaspode, there is no such thing as a turkey, they're actually made from shellfish and concentrated Nehi grape soda. Which combination, by no small coincidence, looks and tastes just like chicken.

I was wondering why we hadn't heard from ya in awhile, HJ... Happy Turkey Day!

'pode, I hear brining overnight works wonders. I've never tried it myself, but the Food Channel swears by it. (As long as you don't go for the Irish stuffing. How can something made entirely of ground meat and no breading be stuffing? /being ungrateful)

Ah, sweet Pips, happy Thanksgiving to you, and also to that big elbow of a guy you got, and to everyone else; let's have a big fun bunch in the endzone. And when the refs throw their flags we'll just tie 'em in our hair and away we go-o-o!

Maybe "Irish stuffing" is like "Irish twins."

gaspode: I'm also hosting for the first time. *high fives* Luck to us both!

Thanksgiving is so, like, early October.

Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Slate has a great series of photos up for the holiday.

We're off to Chattanooga, Tennessee with my mom, to spend the day with my brother and his family.

Happy Thanksgiving, Ameribunnies, and best of luck to those of you who are hosting the feast.

We're probably going to drive around looking for a bad Chinese restaurant that's open and give thanks for not having to deal with relatives. (Not that I don't love my family--I do--but family get-togethers give both of us the screaming heebie-jeebies.)
