"I actually don't think Manilow's too bad," ... said Harrison DeRuiter.

Oh dude.
"Most kids don't want to hear somebody like Glenn Close trying to sing opera"

What?

Fun Manilow facts:
1) Barry cannot be killed by earthly fire.
2) Barry shares 99.9999997% of his DNA with Barbara Striesand. Like, they physically share it, they swap it out. When one is animated, the other is slumped in a utility closet.
3) Barry's teeth are the only known sample of the mysterious element "unobtanium", which engineers claim is the only building material with enough tensile strength to be used as the tether in a space elevator.

OK, I'll bite. What would happen if Barry Manilow met Chuck Norris?

I about died when I saw a commercial for "The Greatest Songs of the Eighties". Manilow even redid Rick Astley's, "Never Gonna Give You Up." Manilow's edition is the ultimate Rickroll.

Among the most novel efforts on "Eighties" is Rick Astley's 1988 No. 1 "Never Gonna Give You Up." "It has the catchiest little melody, with production from Stock, Aiken and Waterman. How do you compete with that?" asks Manilow, who called on producer Michael Lloyd (the "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack) for assistance. "I think it's going to stand out on the album."

The Showman of Our Generation is Back!

I can appreciate "Copacabana" and "Mandy". In the fifth grade we did an entire production based on Manilow's songs. I know a lot by heart because of it.

No fanilows in the prairies, I guess.

I think the judge should mix in some Helen Reddy in numbers too big to ignore.
