I think it's telling that the most powerful man in the country can do his job without email. Perhaps we could all survive without it. I think I could.

Well, of course we could. But I sure wouldn't want to unless I absolutely had to.

Why am I totally unsurprised to learn that Bush had an AOL address.

I know! -- the AOL address made me lol.

Today's NYT article said there were only two incidences of Bill Clinton sending email in the entire archive.

For stupid reasons, my work email was down for about a month. I learned that I could indeed survive, but it was challenging, particularly for complicated planning-type conversations and shared document review.

On the other hand, if I had an endless string of interns and secretaries to whom I could say "Hey, take care of this for me: start writing and I'll tell you how I want things done" it would've been much easier. Since he'll be in that situation he'll be okay.

Yeah, if I had an army of people ready to execute my every whim, I'd be fine without e-mail. Until then, I'll keep it.

Let me know when he does without toilet paper. Then I would be impressed. If the Messiah Obama can do without toilet paper, then we will know that he is the chosen one.

When I read this article yesterday I fell just a little bit in love with Barack Obama. I was THOROUGHLY charmed by his little "Sox!" messages and his "How about that?" on election night. THAT IS FRIGGIN ADORABLE!!!

Well he did spend some time in Indonesia. After a few months in Afghanistan I have become a devoted "Eastern style" toilet user. So much cleaner, so much better.
