So, down at the Famous Bookstore, →[More:] we have a little whiteboard where we post the schedule of who's 'Greeting' at the front of the store. It lists the time, the persons name, and what department they usually work in. yesterday ay 2:30 they scheduled a kid from the Art Department named Jack with the last initial 'F.' So the board read "
2:30pm JACK F ART," which unleashed everybody's Inner Beavis for a few hours.
Today, at the bottom of load of books, I found a stack of about 15 'autograph' photos of the 1984 Detroit Tigers, some of whicch I kept and the rest I gave to fellow baseball fan co-workers. Jack Morris had quite a 'stache.
Going through another load of books, I found a ton of volumes of sheet music, including 'Stairway To Heaven,' 10 volumes of Jon Denver and about 6 of Gordon Lightfoot. Homeboy's all about the edgy, man.
And Oh, yeah, David Bowie was shopping in the store today. I didn't talk to him but i saw him shopping (his identity verified by fellow workers who've dealt with him before). he wore a black ballcap and jacket and looked just like he does in photos, which is to say, remarkably good for a man of his age and history.
