For My Money, The Greatest Movie Ever Made.... [More:]

Gary Cooper. Jean Arthur.

Snappy dialogue, perfect wardrobe.

Every single frame is gorgeous.

There is nothing wrong with this movie.

As always, I invite commentary. But, like we say around the house, you don't like this one, you just don't know what's good....
Never seen it. I just saw The Third Man, which was pretty freaking captivating.

I just put it on my rental list. Love the title.

The Third Man is a GREAT movie.

Yeah, this film is awesome. I never knew Gary Cooper was such a smoldering 1930s hottie. He does an amazing job.

Great movie. Adapted into a song by Rush (bet you didn't know that!).

this is a crazy coincidence I was just comparing with a friend Cary Grant's sartorial style vs Gary Cooper's. My point was Cooper did informal much better but Grant still had an edge with the classic suit, single or double breasted. Even if Cooper was taller and generally more classically handsome. Mr Deeds is great but I have a problem with Capra's brand of populism most of the time; my favorite Gary Cooper film is probably Ball of Fire

(and Fred Astaire did white tie and tails better than anybody else obviously)
