Get Your War On takes on the election. (Animated!)
Lots of good stuff; favourite: "America's new flag is just a white flag, but there's a picture of a burning American flag on it." (= loud cat-scaring guffaw here.)

Beautiful, just beautiful.

I hadn't seen any of the animated works of GYWO because I was afraid it would loose something. Glad I was wrong.

Okay, I know what I'm doing for the next half and hour.

Do they not update the comic version anymore? It seems to stop back during the primaries.

Oh, this is hilarious! This makes me want more MNFTIU. I haven't read it regularly since 2001-02.

The other stuff on the home site is great, too. Like The Seven Wonkiest Things You Never Thought You'd Say.

I love Get Your War On but (cranky old person comment) I really liked them better unanimated. When I read it I thought it was hilarious; spoken, it makes me get that terrible oh god I am embarrassed for them must go away creeping feeling. I don't know why everything in the entire damn world has to be video now. Grumble. Off lawn. Etc.

I kind of agree, mgl...I don't get that embarrassed feeling, but I do think that a large part of the humor of Get Your War On was the fact that the characters were nothing but a small collection of generic clip art. It especially cracked me up when they would just flip the r-to-l orientation of the clip art to make a new angle. There's something philosophically right on about that, for a cartoon in which drastic current events are socially processed by demographically representative employees in a sterile, neutral office environment.

I don't know why everything in the entire damn world has to be video now.

The fact that this video cracks me THE FUCK UP notwithstanding, I agree with you.

I hate that my own employer's website is now so video-heavy you often can't find a quick two-paragraph summary of the story you're looking for. I have a TV, y'know? I just want to read sometimes.

So with you, BeePs, but the people want spoon feeding and they don't know how to feed themselves.
Stopping myself from going on about who has or has not the means to get the brainfood in the first place.
Preaching to the converted is great for those who don't have minions to congregate with, but otherwise--

And when i played it, i heard gasps from the nosy neighbors, asking, "Really? Oh no--"
