Unfortunately, the java client mentioned in the FAQ is no longer on slashnet's site. But there are tons of free, lightweight IRC clients out there.

I just loaded the Firefox one recommended and, although confusing at first, I finally got into #bunnies. I'm not sure what I did exactly, but I'm there.

Banned? Are you on any IM clients? AIM/ICQ/GoogleTalk? You are not banned, so I need to know your exact error and some other stuff like your ISP.

arse, next time you log on to slashnet and get a message that you're banned from #bunnies, you need to /msg Eideteker and let me know you're there. If you can't connect to slashnet, then you're not banned, and something else is the problem.

I've tried opera, mirc, chatzilla, some web based thing, and the java client. (the java client is still there but with a different URL). The error comes back "Cannot join channel (+b)", "Cannot connect +b" or "you are banned from #bunnies" depending on the client.

ISP wise cgocable.net, delphi.com, and comcast.net.

I can connect to other channels on slashnet just fine.
