Whoops! This is what I get for posting before I've made my morning tea. He crashed the Yes on 8 rally -- I was (natch) at the No on 8 rally.... though I did consider crashing the Yes rally myself for a little bit.
Want to hear real comedy? Today I watched Fox & Friends, my favorite TV show ever, for a few minutes. The guests for the last day of the campaign? First they had Karl Rove. Then John Bolton explained how America's enemies root for Obama and he will provoke many tragedies because of his incompetence. Finally, Joe the Plumber was on, explaining that he received death threats and when you attack someone who speaks truth to power, "America is over".
Then I had to go, I'm sure they kept up with the fair and balanced stuff.
Cohen is getting too famous to be able to pull off his schtick like he did.
OK I have a sister in CA who is 60 and has had a series of female "roommates," two of whom she has co-owned houses with. (This after a short early het marriage.) She's never come out, or if she has, it's been by default.
I was talking to my mom, who voted in CA (absentee) and I was afraid to ask her how she voted on 8. I am sure she voted for McCain, but it's NEVER EVER been discussed, in the family, my sister's choice of cohabitants.
Once in the car, in order to jumpstart a conversation I (unfairly) outed my daughter (who is now a calif voter) to her. We talked around the subject, but even then she never came out to me directly. And since she's my "big" sister, I have always been a bit imtimidated to confront her with stuff so I didn't this time either.
Sorry for the derail, but, even in another state, prop 8 is making me crazy.
