No matter what YOU CAN VOTE[More:] hell, vote twice. Just make sure one counts.
Almost two million ballots were disqualified in the 2000 election because they registered multiple votes or none when run through vote-counting machines

Questions?
Call your county clerk's office.
Use Google.
No matter the information, verify your sources.

What have you learned this election cycle, Charlie Brown?

Post your resources and answers, please.
Hopefully, i will have video later or at least pictures.
NOt MATTER WHAT
"Mod, clean up on aisle four--"

The last time I voted, I almost voted for all the candidates. Those NYC machines are not at all intuitive.

They use the big flip the tab pull the giant crank ones, right? We have those, too. I actually like them, the big crank makes me feel like I'm really doing something. Pull the lever to make democracy happen!

A friend of mine moved here from Oregon, though, and said she had to get the old poll watch lady to help her since she was so confounded by them. I think I'm just used to them.

Yup! And I almost flipped all the tabs, heh.

Last time, i was somewhat alarmed at how low tech it was with the cardboard separators and paper. Now, they say they have electronic voting and i'm prepared for wackiness to ensue.

In your swingier of swing states, provisional ballots might make the difference if it comes down to it.
It better not come down to it.

For some reason i feel much better today than i did.

I'm so excited that MD is going back to paper ballots after this election. I don't care for the slick touch screens.

I guess in canada they do ALL paper ballots, everywhere. The results come in the same night, too.

They use paper ballots in the UK too. Results out before the next morning - and they are counted in public, watched by representatives of all major parties (we have a minimum of three -- parties that is). So you can believe in the results. I always used to think that it was only in banana republics that votes were tallied in private and that the guys in charge decided which votes to count and which votes to ignore (provisional ballots 'r us).
