Obama just looks so trustworthy. Everything about his demeanour says 'you can rely on me'. When McCain was running round like a headless chicken over the bail-out, Obama was calm, calm, calm.

I also think Biden is an excellent choice of running mate. I watched this the other day, and although it's headed 'Biden Angered by Tough Questions' I didn't think he was 'angry' at all, just 'WTF?' at the stupidity of the questions he was being asked.

I got to see him speak in Pittsburgh on Monday, inside a warm arena, although I would have stood in the rain to see him. I still can't believe that we're about to elect someone so intelligent and competent and calm to the white house. This next week is going to be torture.

What you can't tell from the pictures is that it wasn't just rain, it was freezing rain and vicious winds. There was snow and claps of thunder. It was bad enough that they didn't even attempt to resume Game 5 of the World Series. The fact that he would endure all that rather than let down the crowd is really impressive. Especially considering that McCain cancelled his rally in the region.
