From the NY Times:

"Mr. Obama’s aides said that his closing speech, written with his top speechwriter, Jon Favreau, would return to the theme that he offered when he announced his candidacy, calling for change. Mr. Obama’s advisers said that after a long and often acerbic campaign, they believed voters were hungering for that kind of positive appeal to close out the race."

This is ALL KINDS of awesome.

Incidentally, that pic of Obama at the capital in Denver gave me the chills. I was delighted to see that he got such great crowds in my old stomping grounds -- 100,000 in Denver and 50,000 in Fort Collins! It's great to see the shift happening in Colorado politics -- it's a different place, in so many ways, from when I grew up there.

A little part of me died when I learnt it weren't the Swingers Jon Favreau.
