Charles "One Shot" Harris, or "Teenie" was a photographer in Pittsburgh. [More:] A show of some of his photographs, documenting (mostly) African-American life in Pittsburgh during the mid 20th Century, is traveling around the country and stopped in Eugene. This was accompanied by a dance performance by the Evidence Dance Company in which dances were "set" to some of Harris's projected photos.

There are thousands of photos in this collection and it's worth a few minutes perusing them.
That's so cool. I wish the pictures were Google map tagged. My father's business was on the North Side, and he owned another nearby building in the Mexican War Streets, which I spent my high school summers renovating. But the Hill District was a place where a white boy was really stood out, like a tall blond girl in rural China.
