It's amazing to me how his material evolved after he became a father. I'm sure that wasn't the only factor there, but even he has cited fatherhood as the most pivotal moment for his standup. His stuff, even the non-kid-related stuff, became ten times funnier.

eth, is that a stand-up thing? HBO special? I can't find it. Also, don't tell me what to do.

I don't know much of his material pre-HBO special, where he calls his kid an asshole, which is brilliant. But yeah, I've seen enough to notice the change. Everything just clicked for him. Some artists really respond to comfortable situations - married, kids, etc. But I'm sure I laughed at the stuff he'd written for Conan and Dave way back.

i looked but it's not linked in the Louis CK on Conan links there. It was on his site a while ago.

Louis CK and his bathing suit area are a match made in comedy heaven. It's worth it because he talks about heterosexual male asshole anxiety-- it's worth it because he's hysterically funny.
If he's using it, i hope they yanked it, because that's comedy gold, man. Mine it.

He is great. This is great. I could have done without the part of taking a dump. I never liked bathroom humor. I'm a prude that way. No talk of farts of pooping, please.

He does a bit of allowing his childhood friend to masturbate on him. I think they were around 12 at the time. He would let his friend get on top of him and grind his pelvis. Aw, that's a friend. My husband LOVED the series Lucky Louie on HBO. It was a bit raunchy but very funny.

Louis CK is one of my favorite comedians. He is also one of the nicest. He did a guest set for one of the guys I work for last year and was a freaking delight both on stage and off.
