Sewing tattoos I know this relevant to someone's interests here... kellydammit, I think? Apologies if I'm mistaken. site in Russian
very cool... I was half-expecting to see one of mine on there.
I love the chest piece, I've actually seen it before. (I think on the craft or make blog), but it wasn't as far along then.
I have no flikr access at work to link, but my sewing tattoos are up on mine (I'm in the metachat group). I'm also in a group for them. (machine on right arm, pincushion on left, stitched seams with a button at either end up the back of each leg.)
I prefer embroidery to cross stitch. I think it has more room for alteration and customization... cross stitch involves a lot of grids and stuff, it seems way more constrained. And embroidery, technically, can be done on anything. I think cross stitch needs the special cloth for the grid size.
I actually have some of those embroidery patterns. I like them.
Yeah, I'm in the middle of getting another one now. My next appointment is on Tuesday.
Forearms and tools can often make a serendipitous choice, like with these drumsticks. I've seen some great forearm tattoos on chefs, too--knives and whisks and whatnot.
I sent these to my straitlaced 65-year-old mother. She keeps saying she wants a tattoo, and I think she's serious. Now she'll have to put her money where her quilting squares are.
