Ha! So did I, chewie... and that's an incredibly detailed page about the show. Very cool.

The first time I ever went out west and saw the desert in Arizona, I kept thinking, "It really does look like a Roadrunner cartoon."

Cool! I've never been there, but I really want to go.

I still never tire of the Road Runner cartoons. And I'm with you BoPo, when I think of the American desert I picture it to look like a Road Runner cartoon.

One of these days, the fake tunnel in the side of the hill will work for me also.

I just know it!

In The New Yorker, Ian Frazier wrote a fictional lawsuit brought by Wile E. Coyote against the Acme Company for injuries he suffered while using their products. I saved a paper copy of it somewhere, and just tried to look it up. All I can find is the abstract but it must be out there, and it's really funny. I remember lines in legalese about how he "smashed full-force into the side of a mesa", and "became folded up like an accordian" and "was nonetheless obliged to support himself in spite of these injuries". Worth a read if anyone can find the full version.

Roadrunners were run-of-the-mill backyard birds at the house where I grew up. It's still kind of funny to me that they're so exotic to so many people.

It was published in book form, so that may be why you can't find the full version online now.
