Also, people tend to forget there are other things to vote for besides president.
Amongst today's festivities, remember these two that have been mentioned here, if you have the ability to help:
i don't know what else is hanging on your local elections but Proposition 2 in Flordia and Proposition 8 in California need you to just say no.
Please feel free to point out and add any other issues and races that apply as you make merry.

NY has a republican dominated state legislature that's stood strongly against gay marriage. I suspect, given the new governor's stance so far, it will be legal here as soon as the state balance of power is tipped.
