Ack, no more pink & white animal cookies! The 92 year old company that makes these abruptly shut down today.

I have a serious addiction to these cookies. Despite being reasonably careful about what I eat, I can mow through a bag of these in a half-day. I even fancy that the special edition colors that come out at Halloween and July 4th have faint added flavoring (mmmm orangeHalloweenanimalcookies).

The Keebler knockoffs are not the same! I must stockpile.
I smell a bailout baking.

Ohhhh! That is so so sad! I love Mother's. And they're local, too- I didn't even know.

These remind me of Vacation Bible School and sin.

Awwwww, that is no good. We once actually survived most of a camping trip on those cookies, and then had to avoid them for several months.

Am I the only one who liked Mothers Cookies other than the Circus Animals? Flaky Flix chocolate-coated wafers? Taffy rectangular sandwich cookies? Maybe that's a reason they're belly-up. I have seriously cut down my cookie consumption lately.

This sucks, I adore those cookies.

I do like the Circus Animals every once in a while, but it's their Iced Oatmeal cookies I will truly miss. Time to buy some cookies!

I just got back from picking my son up from school and we dropped by a Target on the way home. They had one pink & white bag left. Fortunately, I was able to stock up on some bags of the halloween varients. Guess I'll find out if they freeze well.

Same company makes Archway cookies too: I looooove their soft molasses cookies. And the soft lemon frosted ones.

Wahh, I just realized all of the processed/commercial brands of cookies I adore are from Mothers.

::sob::

Iced oatmeal and the "english tea cookies" are what I loved, though eating the animal cookies still feels like I'm getting away with something- we didn't those too often because our church didn't have them at the coffee hour.

It's the little things that drive things home.
Unexpected home invasion by little things is to be avoided.
Stupid holes!

I bought a bag of these tonight. In memoriam.

Turns out the Tea Cookies are so good because they're chock full of transfats.

Yup- they're the cookies of my childhood alright.
