I (had to) learn how to live on less-than-half my previous income years ago and am now enjoying it. I got a Costco Coupon Mailer last week and there was nothing - NOTHING in it I felt compelled to buy. Of course, on Permanent Disability, my meager income is less in doubt than most people these days; still, it feels good to be a Trend Leader.

(And a couple weeks ago, I made my semi-annual trip to WalMart to buy underwear - a ritual I call "sticking it to Hanes" - and the store was as busy as anyplace I've been in a long time)
