Back in the UK. Was in the States for a whirlwind two weeks. Portland, Albuquerque, a dear friend's wedding, catching up with lots of friends and family. I didn't get to see everyone I wanted to, but I did the best I could in the time allotted. I didn't get to Apizza Scholls, though, and that just about kills me...

It's a bitch, ain't it? Someone, I think it was William Gibson, described the experience as if your soul was somehow trailing off behind your body. The farther you fly, the longer the lag, the longer you have to wait for it to catch up so you can be yourself again.
