I just found out that I have two weeks of vacation owed to me, so I'm taking next week off. Starting Sunday, it's lounge time, baby.

(Also, remember my Garner Generational Delineatior Theory? That you cound tell what generation somebody was from by what they thought of when someone says 'James Garner?' Generation before mine: Maverick My generation: Jim Rockford. Generation after mine: Who?

I have a new delineator. Ask someone who the best white player in NBA history was. Generation before mine: Pete Maravich My generation: Larry Bird Generation after mine: Steve Nash.

I'll see you in Stockholm.)

Yay! I've been up and down, but for some reason knowing that you're happy makes me feel happy. :)

Generation after mine: Who?

Mariette Hartley's husband.
Actually, the joke was that she went around with a t-shirt saying "I am not James Garner's wife."

But that's just barely out of the Rockford era. Today, he's probably best known as Grampa Jim on 8 Simple Rules. But he's in the oddly cult-favorite romance movie The Notebook, too.
