Dog dials 911, and saves owner's life. (CNN video with advertisement)→[More:]
Not just the awesomeness of dogs, but the relative inferiority of, for example, fish. "Alert fish dials 911, save's owners life" is not a headline you will see at least in reputable papers, although possibly in more fun ones.
The transcript obviously doesn't capture the nature of the bark 'cause it's obvious the dog is saying "The dude that feeds me, and plays with me is messed up, so get a fucking ambulance over here ASAP and take care of him 'cause I've got a good gig here since this dude is the most awesomest person in the world. HURRY THE FUCK UP DAMMIT!"

You're trying to make me not like you, aren't you?
Although - hmmm. I wouldn't actually be surprised if, say, oscar fish were smart enough to be trained to dial 911 if the interface existed. The problems would be that a) the interface for underwater telephonics does not exist right now, at least in any practical sense, and b) the owner would have to conveniently collapse near the tank. Fixing the latter would probably require a network of interlocking tube-tanks running through all the rooms of the home, but the engineering logistics of that...
Nah, I think this is a demonstration of the inferiority of humans, actually.
