I just lit the filter of my cigarette. I haven't done that since I was like 15. Maybe I've had too much to drink? Nahhh...

You can solve this problem by switching to unfiltered.

BOP, I can dig retro but that's taking it too far. Plus, I hate spitting out flakes of tobacco.

When I was a kid I would occasionally pull one cig out of mom's pack when she wasn't looking and tuck it in backwards. It worked every time, she never paid attention when she lit up. This generally earned me a very short, very intense burst of laughter and then a long slow world of hurt.

But pulling bits of tobacco off your tongue is so Frances Farmer sexy.

Plus I have a theory that filters cause cancer, not tobacco. Unfiltered allows the stuff to go down in big chunks which you can hack back up, whereas filters break it all down to microparticulates that stay in your lungs fo-evah. Huh? Huh? OK, then....

Also: I do switch to unfiltered when hiking, camping, and fishing. Environmentally friendly, dontcha know.

Exactly once in my life, I got laid by pointing out, "You just lit your filter, hey, let me take you home."

We're together 19 years later so it was not cheap.

I also haven't done that for many years, although I've caught myself with it backwards before lighting it a couple of times. Harsh, harsh chemicals, and it stinks.
