Your best first day at work, ever. [More:]Started my call taking from yesterday, and never have I been so comfortable (although I did get a bit nervous in the middle, but was able to handle it) on my first day. It was awesome.

Spoke to three customers by the name of Ms. Cadichon, Jeremy and Ms. Loressa.

Was able to resolve Ms. Cadichon's issue quite well, even though it took an hour (she was delighted with the results), and Jeremy was on the line with me for maybe ten minutes before I took that bird down. (Jeremy was from the South, and had that very southern twang--sounded good to hear it live!).

Ms. Loressa's issue was a bit more complicated, and even though we couldn't resolve it for the time being, she was glad that someone was there to listen to her.

I'm really happy right now:)
That's Great Hadjiboy! I'm glad you've found work that can be so satisfying.

I read an article once (I wish I could remember where) about how some employees at Indian call centers answering calls from Americans are asked to pretend that they are in the US. Any of that where you work?

Nah, we're actually encouraged to tell the customers our real names and inform them that we're calling from India if in case they ask. Of course, some guys do like to pretend like they have a US accent (just for the heck of it) but it's not something that's given any importance, but rather frowned upon in my company. So it's a very client-specific policy.
